Orson Project 1

Use all three shape types: Merge Drawing, Object Drawing, Primitive shapes
How did you utilize them? For what purpose would chose one type over another?

I used the Primitive Shape for the sun. I used the Merged Drawing for the Sky. I used the object drawing for some of the clouds. I would use the primitive shape if I wanted to control elements of the object after it was drawn. I would use the merged drawing for more complex shapes that needed borders to be attached to them, for instance and use the normal objects for everything else.

Draw a image using the pen; modify the image using the Subselection tool. Modify the image to utilize several modes of the pen tool that demonstrate your skills using Bezier curves.
Explain how you created this image on the blog.

I used the the pen tool to create the flower shape. I then merged this shape with some other pen strokes and turned the whole thing into a symbol which I could manipulate more easily.

Create and then modify text. What tools did you use?

I used the glow filter and changed the font to Verdana and increased the point size and made the text bold.

Gradient object. Create your own gradient with a modified focal point.
Please state the hexadecimal colors used.

I created the sky with a gradient that I modified the focal point of. The hexidecimal numbers were #121838 and #7E9DB1.

Pencil and brush objects (both).
Describe in your blog posting what settings you used.

I used the pencil tool to create grass using the straighten and ink settings and used the pen all over with various thickness and bevels.

Use the Deco or/and Spray tools to create a background pattern.

Use the transform tools to modify at least two graphics within your image.
Please state which ones you modified.

I used the transform tool on the flowers.

  3. I got it, the reason it would not work is that my flash was glitched and crashing. I thought it was me but the tools would not operate...
