Orson Project 2

Experience: I’ve had a lot of training so far in my illustrator
class which uses many of the same tools. I pulled some of the shapes I created
in that class over to play with for this image. It was fun to see how the tools
inter-relate and what experience is specific to what program. I can’t say I really
have a favorite tool, but my least favorite might be the pen tool. I’m still
trying to get more comfortable with it.

1. Create one layer with complex graphics on one layer

i. Identify which elements are grouped.

The Canoe image is grouped. The owl image is grouped the land elements are grouped.

ii. What purpose did the grouped objects serve?

It makes it easier to manipulate (move, transform, etc.) objects that are grouped together.
2. Create additional layers using other graphics tools

c. Create a curved object using the tool of your choice(pencil, oval, paint brush,
pen) and then use the Subselection tool to modify the original
Please state
in your blog what you started with and your intension.

I made mountains, creating a line with the brush tool and pulling them down with
the subselection tool.

h. Please experiment using the different stacking order of layers

i.Why did you select the final order? What did it accomplish?

The order I selected had to do with what logically would be in front of what in the
image so that foreground elements blocked out background elements.
