Project 1 - Jaclyn Breanne Smith

A) Merge Drawing was used to make the logs in the fire using oval tool. Object Drawing was used to make the sky using the rectangle tool. Primitive shape is the moon, which I used the oval tool. I enjoy using merge drawing as there is more play room with the object and it is easy to use.

B) I used the pen tool for both the fire and the mountains. For the fire, I drew flames freehand with different colors (orange, red, yellow) and changed the line to be stippled instead of a straight line which caused a more realistic look to me. For the mountain, I used the pen tool to draw them free hand, and used the anchors to arrange them as needed.

C) To create the text, I created a regular text box, and changed the color and font.

D) For gradient, I used the black to white hexadecimal colors to create the color of the moon. I love that it shows a shadowed look on the moon to make it appear real.

E) I used the pencil, brush, and spray can for a few items in the picture. I used the spray can with the regular circle and made the color white to create the snow on the mountain tops. I used the brush to fill in the grey mountains, and the pencil to draw in the ground.

F) I used the spray tool to create the snow (as stated in E) and also the stars in the back ground. For the bonus points, I created the yellow star symbol, and used the spray can to spray that in the sky to create the starry sky effect.

G) I used free transform to modify the mountains & the logs for the campfire for them to appear bent over, or more angled mountains.

I really enjoyed making the new symbol for the spray paint tool and being able to create small to large stars in the background. I am definitely not an artist, but I really enjoy this class, and utilizing flash. I have no experience with this program, so it is all new to me, but so far I am catching on pretty easily. :)
