The grass blades you see in the background where created, morphed, merged, and copy-and-pasted continuously right on the stage itself. It has its own layer.
The tree, lake, ball, bushes, and clouds were made into their own graphics symbol. The spray can was used for those little details you see on the tree/bush/could, while their outlines were manipulated to look as they do now. The deco tool was used for the bush, and the gradient coloring used for it, the tree and it's leaves, and the lake.
The background you see (hill + sky) had it's own layer and graphics symbol. It was made using outline manipulation for the hill's curve, and the spray can for it's details. The sky was apart of this same symbol, with a solid blue background and spray can for the little cloud detailing.
