Amber Krieck - Project 1

1.

a. I used these objects by clicking on the rectangle tool and then clicking on the object drawing and the snap object for the object drawing and the snap to object for the merge drawing. for the primitive shapes, i used the rectangle primitive tool and then adjusted the size of the stroke. if you wanted your shape to interact with other shapes on the same layer then you would choose the merge drawing, if you wanted just the shape and to modify then you would choose the object drawing. you would choose a primitive shape if you did not want it to interact with other shapes and if you wanted to be able to modify it easily.



b. I used the pen tool and created a triangle, then I added points and modified the shape by pulling and moving the point.



c. The tool that I used to create the "Hello" text was the text tool and the break apart tool.



d. The hexadecimal color that is used in the gradient shape is #E70000



e. Using the pencil tool with 42.75 stroke and stippled style. Using the brush tool with a ragged style and a 0.10 stroke.



f. The symbol I used instead of the defult is a green star.



g. I modifyed the first shape which was a square and now looks like a kite. The second object I modified is the teal colored shape that looks like a whale.


My experience: I love the pen tool, its really cool and the shapes that you can create are unique. I also like the deco tool and the pencil, there is just so much that can be created with this program and the different tools.
